This Week - 25.02.2020
Guest Speaker - Kim Reilly - Ride for Women Organisation. Fundraising for Uganda
Kim & her daughter Georgia, provided an interesting talk about a project in Bwindi, Uganda. Bwindi is 12 hours drive from the capital Kampala.
Five ladies visited the village and identified that there are no activities for ladies, and undertook to set up a sewing program to teach village ladies to sew, and to sell there products.
They provided bikes to the village, that tourists could hire to raise funds for the project. Dozens of women are now involved in the project, making clothing & bedding for the local lodges & the local hospital.
