President's Message

At our meeting on tonight, we had 12 members in attendance. Rotarian Lorry Rowe was again a very welcome visitor. We had 2 special guests in Graeme Elphinstone (from the Rotary Club of Spring Bay in Tasmania) and his lovely wife Sylvia. Nusrat was also a welcome guest.

PP Russell Brooks and his wife Cheryl were very welcome visitors to hear their son Paul’s presentation to our club.

Our guest speaker was Dr. Paul Brooks (Paediatric Cardiologist).

There was no Bingo last night as it was Easter Monday. Next bingo night is the 25th of April and Kathryn Williams, and Vas Samaltanos are rostered to help.

I have now placed the order for 30 Pola Fleece Sleeping bags to be donated to the Werribee Salvation Army to distribute to the Werribee homeless.

Our next Bunnings BBQ which was scheduled for Thursday 21st April has had to be cancelled as Andi was not able to get enough volunteers as several members are attending the District Conference. Our next Bunnings BBQ will be on Thursday 19th May.

The Wyndham Harbour Rotary Club is doing a Blood Donation Drive from the 28/3/2022 to 18/4/2022. If any of our members, family or friends are keen they can join our Lifeblood Team. Their Facebook link is below, and it has details of how to register.

Next week’s guest speaker is Sarah O'shannessy, Workforce Partner, Interact Australia.

I will close with a thought for the week: You look up. Always hold your head high and be proud of who and what you are, no matter what anyone else says to you or about you.
