A quiet meeting was held this week at the Bridge Hotel. Our President "Farmer" Hovey was maintaining his herd, and his deputy Pres Elect Kim was also an apology. So we were left in the safe hands of President Elect, Elect Robert Fava to run our meeting.
Kevin Thompson
Roland Wade attended the funeral of charter member Kevin Thompson, and spoke at the service on behalf of Werribee Rotary. Roland reported that there was a huge attendance to say goodbye to Kevin. Thanks Roland.
John Kinrade & Tom O'Brien
We were saddened with the news of the passing of another two past members.
John Kinrade was Secretary to Colin Muir in 1998/99.
Tom O'Brien relocated to north of Newcastle about 10 years ago. He was club Secretary 4 times, in 2001/02, 2003/04, 2005/06 and 2008/09.
Our thoughts are with the families of John & Tom.
RYPEN
We have one student from Werribee Central attending the Rypen Camp at Malmsbury, on the weekend of 26 March.
Kim Deneys will transport the student to the camp, but we still need someone to pickup the student after lunch on Sunday 26/3, and return her to Werribee. Call Kim Deneys if you can assist. You need a current Working With Childrens Certificate.
District Assembly
The training for upcoming Board members will take place on Sunday May 7th from 9.00am till 2.00pm, at the Jasper Hotel in the city. Cost is free. 2023/24 Board members are encouraged to attend. Let PE Kim know if you are attending.
Bunnings BBQ - Thurs 23/3
We still don't have enough volunteers. We have asked Wyndham Harbour RC if they have any members who can assist. If they can't help us we will have to call it off.
Smiley Scopes
Look out for your copy of the Star Newspaper this week. There is an article and photo, of our Smiley Scope donation to Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Mental Health
Peter Sandlant has confirmed that the Women's Mental Health night at McKillop has been confirmed on Tuesday 2nd May.
The Beyond Blue Cup football match will be played as a curtain raiser to the Werribee Football Club game on Saturday 20th May.

Next week Tuesday 28th March
There is no meeting this week at the Bridge Hotel. Instead we are having a vocational visit to the Wyndham Technical College.
To find the college, go south down Hoppers Lane past the Mercy Hospital. Exit Hoppers Lane on the right, through gate 2. Proceed straight ahead to the last carpark. There is a small parking fee of $1.20 an hour. It can be paid with coins but you need the exact amount, as it doesn't give change. You can also pay by card. Head into the school to Room 14.
The tour starts at 6.00pm so don't be late.
At the conclusion of the tour, we will all head over to the Werribee Tigers Clubhouse for dinner - just order off the menu.
