Bingo continued on Monday night with 92 players in attendance raising a profit of $1,337. Thankyou Roly Wade and Michael Redding for their help on the night.

Rotary Foundation is the theme for November

November is Rotary Foundation Month.

It is the month that Rotary clubs and districts remind and educate Rotarians about the remarkable programs of our Foundation and seek the financial contributions needed to make the world a better place.

For more information, go to Rotary Foundation Australia

What is your club doing to mark Foundation month?

Our Christmas function will be held on Tuesday the 14th December at Chirnsides by the River. The cost will be $65 a head for a 3 course meal and entertainment. Father Christmas will also be in attendance. If you have not indicated that you are coming please advise me ASAP.

Andi Barnfield has kindly agreed to run the Bunnings BBQ rostering. Thankyou Andi for agreeing to help out with this very important role.

I will close with a thought for the weekAt the end of the day the only questions that I will ask myself are, Did I love enough, Did I laugh enough, Did I make a difference.

ALPHABET RACING

Rob the Boxer had a glorious chance to make a big statement at race meetings 18 and 19 but he let it slip through his hooves. With an army of S and T horses at his disposal, he could only manage 11 points. He still remains in the hunt and is running in 3rd place beside a tiring Mad Dog Muir. They are both 9 lengths behind the leader so, with only 7 furlongs to go, they will have to pull their proverbial horse shoes out to make up the difference.

The star performer at Ballarat was the forgotten gelding Mr Sandlant who unexpectedly collected 7 points with the letter D to win the $15 prize. And then he backed it up at Kembla Grange with another 6 points. In a topsy-turvy tussle at the top, he has now taken over the lead by 7 lengths from Filthy Phil who was caught unaware and is now unable to unleash his unbelievable earlier acceleration.

Another surprise was the performance of Wendy Winx who has waxed and waned throughout the race but on the weekend she whacked her way through the back packers to win the $15 award at Kembla Grange. She also played the D card, so it was a delightful day all round for the D's. She pipped an angry Snapper Steve at the post who collected a creditable 8 points but the steam is still snorting from his nostrils. He remains in the hunt to finish as a place-getter but he needs to be able to control his emotions at the remaining meetings.

Still bringing up the rear is Rudolph Ballantino who is dragging his hooves around the track and has his tail between his legs. Not far ahead are Handy Andi and Tosser Ross who have been very ordinary through the whole race. There are obviously some question marks on their fitness.

Having a stress headache?

Don't go for the Panadol. Instead eat 10-12 almonds, which is equivalent of two aspirin.
