THIS WEEK AT ROTARY - 07 06.2022

This week we had a very interesting presentation from Terry McAleenan from "The Fathering Project".

The Fathering Project are running a program called Creating Stronger School Communities. The program aims to support fathers to become more involved in the schooling of their children. Traditionally the mother of the children have a greater involvement in the childrens schooling, buy studies show that "Children do better at school when fathers are involved in academic, social & health outcomes".

The program aims to make fathers more welcome in the school environment, which benefits the school, and the students.

The program is currently running in 700 schools across Australia. The aim is to get the program into another 300 schools this year.
