- Since 1985, 2.5 billion people have been immunised against polio
Eradicating Polio
- The program has seem 2.5 billion people immunised.
- There were 350,000 reported polio cases in 1988.
- There were 33 in 2018, but 88 in 2019, with most in Pakistan & Afganistan where it is not safe for volunteers to enter & run vaccination programs.
Support our Rotary Foundation by:

Presentation by Our New Interactors
Kim Deneys introduced the committee members for the new Wyndham Central Interact Club, and their vice principal Connie Faranda.
President Biz spoke to us, told us that the club will charter in early 2020 with 25 members. Kim Deneys & Graham Roper are providing club support to the group.

PAUL HARRIS BREAKFAST - 21st NOVEMBER
The Rotary Club of Central Melbourne is holding its 27th annual Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Breakfast on Thursday 21st November 2019 at the RACV City Club.
The guest speaker will be Dr Andrew Browning who has spent 17 years living with his family in Ethiopia amongst some of the poorest people in the world.
He specialises in treating a devastating birth injury called obstetric fistula.
Andrew is one of only a handful of surgeons in the world who have dedicated their lives to helping treat this problem. His charity has now built 3 maternity hospitals in Africa.
Tickets for the breakfast are $70 per person or $650 for a table of 10.
